Andy Douglas awoke that morning feeling quite happy. It was his birthday, and his boyfriend Chase always made this day special for him. Last year Chase had woken him up in a very nice way, served him breakfast in bed, and the list of things Chase did for him, went on forever. Chase was great when it came to the birthday thing, and Andy was excited to see what things he had planned for that day.

When Chase woke up, though, he went through the normal routine. He fixed himself a cup of coffee, got into the shower, came out and kissed Andy, told him good morning, and got dressed. Andy sat there at their table, taken aback. Chase was acting like this was any other day. He didn’t get it. Chase came walking out of the bedroom, dressed for the gym. “You coming to the gym today babe?” Chase said, grabbing his gym bag and throwing it over his shoulder.

“Sure let me get dressed.” Andy said, getting up, still a little perplexed about Chase’s actions. However, he went to their bedroom, put on his workout cloths and met Chase at the car. They drove to the gym, talking about the match they’d had the afternoon before and other work related topics, but nothing truly special. When they got to the gym it was business as usual. Work out, gossip about the cute guys that were there, get bored and head back home. They had a couple of weeks off so neither of them felt that they needed to kill themselves in the gym today.

The workout was such a light one that Andy thought he had it all figured out. He had to get me out of the house so the party could be set up. Yeah that’s what this is all about. Andy thought as he sat in the passenger seat, looking lovingly at Chase. He’s so sweet. Andy thought again as he reached over and brushed a stray stand of hair out of Chase’s face.

When they got home, though, there was no cars in the driveway, or anywhere else that Andy could see. He walked into the house still half expecting for all their friends to jump out and yell surprise, but no one was there. Oh well, it’s still early in the day. He could have something planned for tonight. Andy thought to himself again as he settled on the couch and grabbed the TV remote and flipped the set on, quickly finding one of his favorite movies was on. Rocky III. He sat there and watched TV while Chase made them lunch. I bet he’s cooking my favorite food. Lasagna. He knows I love lasagna, so I bet that’s what we’re having for lunch. Andy thought, as he settled back to watch the movie. After all lasagna took a while to make.

He was really shocked when about ten minutes later Chase called him in the kitchen. Andy walked into the kitchen thinking maybe Chase needed some help, but boy was he wrong. Sitting on the table was his birthday lunch. Soup and grilled cheese. Wow, I hope he didn’t hurt himself. Andy thought as he sat down and tried to look happy. He didn’t want to ruin what Chase had planned for the evening by being a baby about lunch. Chase sat down across from him and they ate their lunch pretty much in silence. Until Chase said the one thing that made Andy want to cry. “We have to go shopping today and pick up a birthday present for James.”

Andy shook his head in agreement, but inside he was crying. Had Chase, his wonderful, sweet, funny, caring, Chase forgotten his birthday? No. He couldn’t possible forget my birthday. He’s been making this day special for three years now. I’m sure he has something very special planned. I just have to be patient. Andy thought, pushing all the other thoughts out of his head, that were making him want to cry.

After lunch, they both lazed around the house, most of the time, sitting on the couch and watching movies, curled up in each others arms, just enjoying the time off they had together. It wasn’t until the sun was about to go down that Chase made a suggestion that got Andy’s hopes up again. “Hey let’s go get dressed up and go out to dinner. We don’t get to do that very often.” Chase said, patting Andy’s hip and standing up.

“Okay. That sounds good.” Andy said, getting up himself and walking with Chase to their bedroom. I knew it. I knew he hadn’t forgotten. He’s taking me out to dinner then we’ll probably go for a walk along the beach then we’ll come back home a make love. That sounds like a perfect evening for my birthday. I wonder what he got me? Andy thought to himself as they got dressed and headed out the door.

Chase took him to a fairly fancy Chinese restaurant where they enjoyed a beautifully romantic dinner. Andy’s hopes were as high as they’d been all day. He was practically tingling when Chase opened the car door for him. Andy wasn’t even really that bothered when they drove right by the beach. Oh well, I’d rather get back home anyway. I’m sure it’s going to be a long night. Andy thought as they pulled into the driveway. This time he was happy to see that there were no cars around. All he wanted to do was go in and go to bed. Apparently that’s what Chase had in mind also, because when they walked in he said he was going to take a shower and go to bed.

Andy didn’t follow him into the shower, simply because he wasn’t asked. He figured if Chase had something planned that involved the shower he would have asked Andy to join him. So Andy sat in their room and waited. When Chase got out he walked into the room, still dripping water with steam coming off of his body. “Shower’s all yours babe.” Chase said as he began to get dressed for bed. Okay. He must want me out of the room so he can set everything up for the romantic night he has planned. Andy got into the shower, taking an extra long time, just to give Chase that much more time to set up.

When Andy stepped back into the bedroom, his jaw about hit the floor. Nothing had been done. In fact, Chase was sitting in bed reading a damned book. Andy looked over at the clock and noticed it said 10:30. Alright, this is fine. He still has an hour and a half to give me my present and stuff. Andy thought as he crawled into bed with Chase.

“You gonna put some cloths on?” Chase said, looking over at Andy, not even putting his book down.

“Yeah, I guess I am.” Andy said, getting out of bed and ripping the drawer open that contained his boxers. He yanked a pair out and hastily put them on. He slammed the drawer shut and walked back over to the bed, flopping down beside Chase.

“Is there something wrong?” Chase asked, finally putting his book down. “You’ve been acting melancholy all day long. Did I do something wrong?”

“If I have to tell you then never mind. I’m going to sleep.” Andy said, yanking the covers up around his shoulders and rolling over so his back was to his boyfriend. Sleep quickly overtook him.

When Andy woke up it was 12:01 in the morning and he had the most wonderful feeling. He looked under the covers and sure enough there was Chase, mouth closed around his cock, head bobbing up and down. He let the covers drop and just enjoyed the feeling of Chase’s warm mouth, and the suction it was causing. Chase had the most talented mouth. It didn’t take long for Andy’s orgasm to rip through his body. As he was coming down from the peak of ecstasy, Chase kissed his way up Andy’s body, finishing with a deep kiss to his lips. “Happy birthday babe.” Chase said, smiling his one of a kind smile.

“Thanks sweetie, but that was yesterday.” Andy said, feeling a little better that Chase hadn’t forgotten altogether.

“No it wasn’t. Yesterday was Tuesday. This is Wednesday, and your birthday is on Wednesday this year.” Chase said, looking at Andy like he’d taken one to many chair shots to the head.

“No sweetie. Yesterday was Wednesday. Remember we got to home from the tapings on Monday instead of Tuesday when we normally do This is Thursday. My birthday
was yesterday.” Andy said, quietly enjoying the look of realization mixed with guilt on Chase’s face.

“Oh my God, sweetie! I am so sorry. You thought I’d forgotten all day haven’t you?” Chase said, a frantic tone in his voice.

“Actually, yeah I did. But you can make it up to me now.” Andy said, running his finger down Chase’s chest.

“Are you kidding babe? I’m gonna make it up to you all day. I hope you’re not that tired, because this is going to be 24 hours that you’re never gonna forget.” Chase said, reaching over onto the night table and grabbing the bottle of lube.

“Sweetie, any 24 hours with you is something I’ll never forget.” Andy said, anticipating the next 24 hours of his life.
