“Oh shit!” Shane Helms said as he assessed the damage. “I’m a dead man.” He looked at the side mirror of Matt’s corvette hanging loosely on the door. All he was going to do was take the car out for a little spin, and now it was ruined. The mirror was shattered, the casing was just hanging by wires and that didn’t even start to describe the dents and scratches it put on the paint job. “Fuck!” Shane said, picking up his cell phone and calling Jeff. He told him to get over there right now, that it was a matter of life and death. “My death.” Shane said, hanging up his phone and starting to pace.

“What the hell?” Jeff said, walking into the garage and seeing the damage. “What did you do?”

Shane was still pacing beside the car. “I couldn’t sleep so I thought I’d go for a drive.” Shane said, almost on the verge of tears. “You have to help me Jeff. Matt’s gonna kill me, or worse kick me out.”

Jeff knelt down beside the car door and started thinking. “Holy shit!” Shannon said, walking into the garage from the house, carrying a Mt. Dew and a sandwich. “Someone is gonna die. Who the hell did this?”

“I did.” Shane said, running his fingers through his hair. “Can you fix it, Jeff?”

“Are you kidding?” Jeff said, fully intending to tell Shane no, until he looked up at his future brother in-law and saw the stress on his face. “I can fix anything. I’ll just pop the door panel off and bang out those dents, then we’ll get some glue and put the mirror back on. It’ll be simple.”

Shannon stood there, not believing his own ears. Jeff was creative, and talented, but he was not mechanical. Unless he was fixing a ladder. Shannon was hoping to stop this before it got started. “Why don’t we just tell Matt that some Edge fans knocked it off with a bat or something while you were shopping?”

“And how am I going to explain the red paint on the garage wall?” Shane said, actually noticing that for the first time. “Oh shit! I gotta go get some paint.” Shane jumped in Jeff’s corvette and sped out of the driveway.

“I hope he’s got that thing at least halfway fixed.” Shane said, putting the paint in the passenger side seat and heading home. He turned on the radio and actually enjoyed the ride home, relaxing with every beat thumping from the speakers. He trusted Jeff. Jeff had never let him down before. There’s always a first time for everything, though, as Shane found out when he walked back into the garage.

The car was in about eight parts, scattered all over the floor. The door, alone, was in three parts. What shocked Shane the most, though, was when he saw parts from under the hood sitting on the floor. Conspicuous by his absence was Jeff. Shane began looking around the garage and saw Jeff and Shannon against the far wall, making out. “Jeff? What in the fuck have you done?” Shane screamed, putting the paint down and startling Jeff and Shannon out of the little world they were in. “What the fuck is this? It looks like it goes somewhere under the hood? And by the way, where the fuck is the hood?”

“Over there against the wall.” Shannon said, pointing in the direction of the hood which had been removed from the car. “He’s been working real hard on this Shane.”

“Yeah, I could fucking tell when I walked in.” Shane said, surveying the wreckage. “You know Jeff, I’ve always trusted you with my life, and I still do, but this isn’t my life we’re talking about here. This is Mattie's car.”

“I know, Shane.” Jeff said, stepping back up to the car, zipping up his jeans. “Don’t worry about this. I know what I’m doing.”

“I hope so.” Shane said. The three of them spent all night trying to repair the torn up car. They lost all track of time. “Hello?” Shane said, picking up his cell phone, not paying attention to the caller ID or the specialized ring tone.

“Hey sugar.” Matt said. “I caught an early flight. I’m about ten minutes away from home.”

Panic set in. He had to think quick. “The garage door opener is broke, so don’t even bother trying to pull the car in. I’ll be waiting in the bedroom for ya. I missed you.” Shane said, noticing the confused look on Shannon and Jeff’s faces. “See ya in a few.” Shane said, hanging up his phone. “Alright you guys keep fixing this thing. I have ten minutes to take a shower and get ready to have sex.” He took off for the door, stopping just before walking through it. “I never thought that sex with Matt would seem like a job.” He was through the door and probably upstairs before it sank into Jeff and Shannon what was gonna happen.

Matt walked in the house, noticing that Shane had the stereo on pretty loud. He didn’t ask any questions though, just walked upstairs and opened the bedroom door. Shane was laying on the bed, legs spread with a sultry look in his eyes. “I’ve already got myself ready. I want you in me now!” Matt didn’t argue. He quickly divested himself of his cloths and crawled up the bed, in between his lover’s legs. In one fluid motion he was inside Shane.

He stayed still while Shane adjusted to his size, lacing his fingers through Shane’s and pinning his hands to the bed. Shane loved it when Matt was a wild animal in bed, and he knew this would bring that feature out in him. Matt felt Shane’s hips start to buck and started pounding into him at a mind blowing pace. That’s the way the rest of the morning went. Sex and rest, then more sex and more rest. Music blaring the whole time.

Late morning rolled around and Shane had fallen asleep, even with the music playing so loudly that Matt was glad his only neighbor was Jeff and Shannon. He rolled out of bed and headed downstairs to turn the music off. He was heading back upstairs when heard banging and cursing coming from his garage. He walked to the closet, grabbed a ball bat and headed for the garage. He opened the door and swiftly stepped through ready to strike. “WHAT THE FUCK!!!!” Matt screamed when he saw his brother, covered in grease from head to toe and his car laying in pieces on the floor.

“I can explain Matt.” Jeff said, backing away from his angry brother who was carrying a weapon.

Matt advanced on Jeff, surveying the damage to his car. “You better have a damn good explanation, Jeff.” He said, looking at his brother like he was about to kill him. “You have one minute before I take your fucking head off.”

Jeff took a deep breath, thinking quickly. “My truck broke down and I needed to go to town for some stuff so I came over to borrow your car and while I was there someone knocked your side mirror off so I decided that I was gonna fix it.” Jeff said in one breath sounding a little to nervous for his own good.

“Why didn’t you just call me and I’d have turned it into my insurance company, Jeff?” Matt said, wanting to think that his brother would never lie to him but knowing differently.

“I didn’t think about that.” Jeff said, thinking he’d pulled off the lie.

Matt dropped the bat and walked over to where Jeff was standing. He place his hand on his shoulder and in one movement had him slammed against the wall right next to the red mark, his forearm lightly resting against his brother’s throat. “And how the hell do you explain this little red mark on the wall? It seems to be the exact color of my car.”

Jeff panicked. He didn’t know what to say. All he could do was stand there and wait for his brother to start pummeling him. “It’s my fault Matt.” Shane said standing in the doorway. “I couldn’t sleep last night so I was gonna go for a drive, and knocked your side mirror off backing out of the garage.”

Matt let Jeff go, and Shannon ran to his aid, not sure if Matt had cut off air or not. “Sugar, why didn’t you just turn it into the insurance? That’s why I’ve got it.” Matt said, walking toward Shane, still sounding very angry.

“I knew you’d be home today.” Shane said, hanging his head. “And I know how much you love this car. I didn’t want you to see it all screwed up.”

Matt actually laughed. “So you let Jeff get a hold of it?” Matt said, taking Shane’s hands in his.

“I panicked.” Shane said, finally looking Matt in the eyes. “I was actually afraid that you’d leave me.”

Matt stood there, looking more hurt by the second. “You thought I’d leave you over a stupid car?” Matt said, keeping eye contact with Shane. “What would make you think something like that, Sugar?”

Shane looked at him like he was on crack. “You’ve yelled at me for shutting the door too hard.” Shane said. “You’ve yelled at me for not putting in the garage and letting the rain touch it. You even yelled at me for having a 20 ounce coke in your car. When you took me to get stitches in the damn thing all you said was don’t bleed on the seat.” Shane was in full blown tears by now.

Matt stood there for a few seconds looking from the car to Shane. “I guess I have been sort of anal about it haven’t I?” He said, wrapping Shane in his arms. “I’m sorry Sugar.”

“ANAL?” Jeff screamed from across the garage. “You almost killed me, ass hole!”

“Yeah!” Shannon chimed in.

Matt looked at his brother, who was being overly dramatic about the whole thing, standing there holding his throat like he’d just been choke slammed by the Big Show. “You’ll get over it.” He said, still holding Shane in his arms. “Why don’t you two go home and I’ll call a real mechanic to come fix this thing later.”

The two men walked out of the garage and Shane had to laugh when he heard Shannon say, “Jeff, can we go home and play mechanic?”

“Come on Sugar.” Matt said, turning Shane around and swatting him playfully on the ass. “Let’s go get some sleep.”

Shane walked into the house and turned around to face Matt. “Sleep?” He said, with a devilish look in his eye. “Did I ever tell you how much it turns me on when you get mad?”
